From day 1 I have cringed whenever there is a scene with the husbands. Why cast two remarkable actors and have them portray contemporary gay men as mincing, simpering stereotypes replete with the "gay man voice". They are neither believable as gay men, retired successful lawyers or closeted men who could convince anyone they were straight.
