It was okay. I suspect that it was originally a pretty good story, that didn't quite all make it to the screen, and then was somewhat lost in translation going from Chinese to English. I did my best to try to make what sense from it as I could. I think there were so many special effects that it took away a bit from the story. It was hard to understand who all the characters were, what their relationships were, and why I (the audience) should care. But there were also some good moments, though most of them were also throwaway moments that could have been pruned from the movie without impact to the story. Would I recommend it? Maybe. I don't think it lived up to its hype, but it wasn't a terrible movie either.

One of the best comedy movies of all time. The timing is impeccable. A little bit of build-up in the beginning while you're getting introduced to the characters, and then buckle up, 'cause it's a helluva ride!
