Anne Marie Stamford

I read the novel 45 years ago and saw the series in the ‘80’s with Richard Chamberlain, but this adaptation is truly remarkable for evoking the look, feel and sense of the novel. It’s transportive. Well done!

Hated it. I thought the acting was good but I have rarely watched a more depressing movie

Definitely lightweight compared to the book, which is one of the best I’ve ever read. That said, the story holds up pretty well and will probably be most enjoyed by those who haven’t read the book. The young blind actress who plays Marie is quite amazing

Thought it was tremendously well acted and portrayed the ambiguities and heartbreak of divorce in an honest way.
