It has three flaws. 1. Done in 100% in old school narrator format, without interviews, feels over bearing if you try to binge the series. 2. The episodes are topical rather than fully chronological so it's back and forth in time to tell stories of various theaters. 3. Totally absent in 13 hours is an episode, or serious attention to the holocaust. This is unforgivable to me. Ironically it mirrors the ignoring of the problem during the war itself. Good news, Netflix created their own version called the Greatest Events of World War Two in Colour using the footage that is much more US centric and has the missing piece of the Holocaust. Watch that one. Not this one.
