Great acting, better than good directing, awesome props and realism on sets, insufferable script and storytelling decisions. Normally you would judge a movie's greatness by the sun of its parts, but in this particular occasion that would be a disservice to Sandler's acting. The decisions taken on the story side of the movie make it a disjointed mess. The sheer amount of screaming is tiring just 20 minutes into the movie, and I'm not bothered by the profanity, just the constant volume at which things are being said. Overall it has some moments of genius, but the experience as a whole is so unpleasant I just can't say it deserves anything more than a single star.
