I’ve read the books and love the TV series. The casting has been superb. Yes there are changes but that’s the whole point of an adaptation. I get some peoples frustration as there is SO much content in the books but here’s the thing, unless you adapt into a soap opera instead of a TV series there’s no way you would cover it all besides I don’t think it would be engaging enough and I think a lot of the changes were warranted for although the whole story is great there is a lot that’s not. Having said that I think 10 episodes instead of 8 would allow for the story to breathe, going forward the show needs it to build chemistry between characters and the audience. All story arcs and characters change a lot through the books unless they invest a little more I think one of the key charms of the series will be lost.
