Vada Chennai Review If you were in teen age during 1980-90, had seen what had happened during death of MGR and Rajiv Gandhi and you belong to Chennai, this film literally will be a feast. Everyone will enjoy but those from this strata mentioned above will even relish it. But a point to be cautious. If you are family person and taking your wife along, be prepared to first learn the worst abusive Chennai words because you may not even understand many words. Thanks that I has grown up in typical Nanganallur slum during college days, the words were familiar. But shocking was the word used by heroine on her introduction scene. You cannot even imagine how it can stoop down to that level. But reality and how people talk in those slums is replicated with care, passion, research and directorial touch. The plot and unfolding of each and every knot is done meticulously by the director. Every character in the movie is given high importance. The contemporary art direction in using costumes, vehicles and hotels literally take you to 1980s. The story has moved up to 2003 and second part is expected soon as story is not completed and still alive with suspense. The scene everyone in theatre burst out into laughter is when the younger brother of Aishwarya Rajesh abuses and threatens his own father to get her married to Dhanush. Violence is inherent part as story is on gang war and taking revenge. Vetrimaran has taken Tamil film industry to international standards by just operating in slum and its surroundings. Kudos to him. Watch this film only with your partner or alone and keep chanting God's name regularly as bad abusive language is part and parcel of every scene. Waiting for next part Sd Sundararajan

Sandda Kozhi Review If you had watched Sandda Kozhi 1, then the sequel is almost similar except it hovers around saving life of one boy whose entire family is decimated in feud. The fight starts around a feast for trivial reason on not serving meat as per the pride of people attending leading to each killing another. Typical village Panchayat by Raj Kiran leading to temporary ceasefire. 7 years of no rain and festival is solicited again to please the presiding deity. How the lonely survivor of the family is saved and rescued by Raj Kiran and Vishal forms rest of the story. Keerthi Suresh has tried to overtake Meera Jasmine by being heroic women with lot of guts. But my mark goes to latter in first part where she did her role to perfection. Keerthi Suresh has done great in dancing for all Kuthu pattu. She wins hearts by her screen presence and smile but far away from the robust and charismatic role done by Meera Jasmine. Her selfie by performing wheelee in TVS 50 may become trend for village girls in coming days. Vishal has done his role pretty decent. Fights are well shot. Lot of efforts for good stunts. The meeting with old enemy Lal in first part would have been better. Lal made look like comedian which doesn't go well if you had seen the first part. Varalakshmi Saratkumar has tried to do villain role but acting reminds us of many people who tried similar roles in the past and looks monotonous. Pretty time pass with good dialogues in between by most characters. Comedy is far from satisfactory levels. One time watch 2.5/5

Review Film - Putham Puthu kaalai OTT release 3.75/5 *An unique experience of watching 5 short stories which is totally a different attempt by director* *All stories are inspiration derived from lock down* 5 names of different stories are as follows *Ilamai itho itho* - Captures emotions of young generation and old generation couples getting together during lockdown and depicting the importance of understanding which goes a long way in improving relationship. *Avarum Naanum....Naanum avarum* - Grand daughter coming to meet grandfather who is a scientist and has broken relationship not because his daughter married from other caste or community but because she didn't proceed her passion. Very well brought out emotional outputs. Scene of online sales meeting where grandpa interferes and gives his piece of mind will surely make you laugh and correlate with daily life *Coffee anyone* - 2 grown up daughters coming to meet ailing mother. Extremely good narrative by director. Values and push given by parents at young age manifesting into characteristics is brought out in a great way. 3 women from Kamal Hassan family are 3 daughters and have done their role to perfection. How coffee is crucial and traditional values upheld by Brahmin community is portrayed nicely. *Reunion* Accidentally getting into a doctor's home during lockdown and discovering it to be her college mate is the crux of the matter. How she mingles with his mother and her hidden dangerous secret is unveiled to correct herself is brought out well. *Miracle* A hilarious story with lots of coincidental happenings making two burglars steal a tyre for survival which makes a lottery for a director who is contemplating suicide. Good moments to laugh and enjoy Over all all films together gives you a sense of watching a good family movies without any unnecessary scenes or violence. Great attempt. Must watch

Darbar Review 4/5 Good evening friends. If you all know that our Thalaivar has attained the age of 70 as per records, you are right. But by physique, agility, style, valour and appearance, you all should know he is just 30. In you recall Padayappa one of the greatest hits of Rajinikanth, there is a scene where seeing his physique Abbas use to exclaim. 20 years later you are sure to find even younger Thalaivar not only in physique but also in smile. What a great performance. Single handedly in most scenes Thalaivar has made film a great success. Donning a role of Commissioner, every scene is going with jet speed and nowhere any yawn. Rajini Rajini and Rajini. Right from introduction to climax fighting scene he is omni present. Story is not revealed for obvious reasons. Want readers to enjoy it in silver screen. After Endiran, this is the film which has given his fans a sumptuous feast. Not that films like Kabali 2.0 and Petta were bad but this stands out in terms of show casing our Rajini at different level. Proud and pride it is to be his fan. Not a single scene wasted on duets or any unwanted scenes. Story runs like sprint. All others including his daughter have done their roles to perfection. Back ground music of Annamalai during fight scenes makes it even more energetic. Go and watch it with family. You are bound to enjoy it fully. Thanks to director Murugadas who after 3 ordinary films has raised his bar. Of course Thalaivar made it happen. Tribute to police force is the key. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Bigil Movie review 3/5 Dear friends and colleagues Main ingredient rice is Chak de Masala is Baadsha Vegetables from here and there old movies. Mix all with a social message of continue your passion irrespective of whether others support you or not...a Veg Fried Rice tasting good and that is Bigil for you. Positives are graphics, cinematography, screen presentation and action of every artists in the film, music and Vijay mass appeal. Story line is very simple, winning the tournament for young women football team who are in debilitated mood after their coach (Kathir) is hospitalized due to grave injury sustained because of gang which was supposed to attack Vijay. Then comes the usual flashback and emotional scenes to give identification for Vijay who then goes on to coach them to succeed against all odds. There were few posts claiming this film has nothing. Beg to differ. Good social message and real life stories of various people to inspire others to succeed is indeed a great work by Atlee. Few more were criticising stating that some caste and religion were shown in poor light. That is absolutely ridiculous. Not a single shot was indicating it. Watching the film with negative perception will yield negative impact. The messages were only showing the community in good light. Draw backs - Dragging first half, comedians wasted and humour not even creating a giggle leave alone laughter. Vivek and Yogi Babu wasted in their roles. Nayan Thara is also not given prominence. In nut shell, it is definitely one time watch, and if you recall many movies while watching, remember Atlee is expert in Fried Rice. Just enjoy it. The irony is these films may have it's own natural death and cannot sustain the endurance like Baadsha, Nayagan, Roja, Indian etc. Reason is plagiarism. Originals stand out, mixes get good response but will fade away. Present day audience want fast food and it is served clean and neat with spice. Just enjoy and don't complain. Atlee has served as per audience taste. Go and watch it once with family. God bless everyone

Dear friends 2019 so far has been a very low for Tamil film industry. So many flop show and just imagine Kanchana 3 which was not even mediocre was considered a hit. Such was the pathetic state of affairs for Tamil film industry. In this scenario at last one film which gave little solace is Komaali which clearly depicts the state of affairs of next generation glued to gadgets and where relationships and love take back seat. Story starts with Jayam Ravi growing up with lot of ethics and values taught by his parents in year 1980s. As expected in his adolescent age he falls in infatuation with Samyukta Pandey. The greatness of Jayam Ravi is the way he has worked hard to shape up his body to exactly look like a teen age boy. He proposes to Samyukta Pandey on exactly millennium day and due to some unforeseen circumstances meets with an accident and goes into coma for nearly 16 years. While proposing he tries to gift the ancestral statue which due to ongoing fight lands in villain K S Ravikumar's hands. After coming out of Coma Jayam Ravi slowly tries to understand the harsh reality of life and what he has missed in 16 years. His friend Yogi Babu tries to help him to maximum. He in fact is the one who takes care during his coma stage and also marries his sister and has typical family problems of a middle class. At last Jayam Ravi gets an employment as security staff in a museum and is astonished to see his statue being auctioned for crores of rupees. In between meeting the old lover and getting in love with Kajal Agarwal is depicted with lot of hilarious scenes. How Jayam Ravi fights for his statue and gets the family out of difficulty forms the rest of the plot. What really is impressive is the film is totally non controversial and has zero vulgarity. Moreover the scenes where Jayam Ravi shows the present generation on how to enjoy real life devoid of gadgets is really commendable. The biggest message is when he says to people "actually I was not in coma but all of you were in coma with false relationship and use of apps and games forgetting the human values and emotions" is the need of the hour for the time being. Further telling everyone in climax on how people come together irrespective of caste and religion during crisis but forget the same during good times makes sense to introspect. Overall a good movie to watch with your family. Don't forget to take your children along as they have a better message. After watching don't forget to play and spend valuable time with your families and friends as emotions only keeps us bonded. God bless everyone

No comparison for his character, dedication, agility and screen presence. Simple awesome. Shankar again has given a wonderful film with clear social message. No vulgarity, no unnecessary dragging, film is to the point. Technology and graphics has reached different levels. Akshay Kumar has done his role to utmost satisfaction. The twist of 2.0 to 3.0 gives audience a very pleasant surprise and energy. Emi Jackson perfectly suits the role of robot as her real acting is also similar to it. Go watch the film with your entire family and just enjoy it. Special treat for Rajini fans by new Kutty. Keeping it suspense. Last scene after title is very special. Pariyerum Perumal Review My dear film lovers, This is a transformational time of Tamil film industry. Metamorphosis which has happened post 2017 middle is astonishing. Reality with clear dose of casteism and discrimination is brought out with such a meticulous manner by the director. What really impress you is the careful depiction of animal tendency in humans which has become embedded over years. Gregarious thinking, claiming superiority and humiliating weak which are prevalent in society makes you wonder when we are going to evolve to real human race. Kathir makes a remarkable impact along with cute and innocent Anandi. Every scene along with clear message makes you completely involved in screen. What makes the movie even praiseworthy is the directorial touch of Maari Selvaraj whose deep understanding of casteist idiosyncrasies are brought out with high levels of maturity. No heroics, no revenge, no punch dialogues, no stunts. But powerful message. Bravo to entire film unit. The success of this film depends on the viewership. While audience are hard pressed to watch commercial films, the evolution of good films depends on rating these low budget powerful films. My view is you should watch this without fail. If you are a hardcore Vijay fan, movie is a treat, but story, screenplay and direction are far from expectations. Vijay role as Sundar a top level CEO for multinational giant, who goes to maximum extent to cast his vote which was used for bogus voting and turn of events making him a plunge into politics makes the story. The positives are dialogues which are emotional rather than pragmatic appeals to audience. The biggest drawback is obvious exclusion of roles of Keerthi Suresh and Yogi Babu who just have done roles of assistant and reminds us of junior artists. Murugadoss would have done a lot of homework but this film looks like a political compulsion Usual Vijay films have high levels of comedy, emotion, action and punch dialogues. In this comedy is fully absent. Songs except Simttangaran others are far from usual AR RAHMAN standards. Go watch this film.with least expectations. Surely one time watch. A strong villain is absent which makes Vijay occupying screen nearly 80%. So it is Vijay Vijay Vijay. 2/5 My request to director-There are other serious social issues which need your intervention. Politics can wait.
