He and the other demon slayers of the corps make for an entertaining, wholesome found family dynamic. The animation studio Ufotable did an amazing job bringing the manga's vibrant art style to life. The fight scenes are kinetic and smooth, with special care paid to lighting, water, and fire effects. Even quiet scenes are given beauty through background art and character acting. While the plot stays within conventional shonen formulas, the execution is done well enough to remain engaging episode to episode. The demons all have unique, creepy designs that leave impression. And the action balances bloody spectacle with charming character banter. Is Demon Slayer flawless? No. The plot is fairly straightforward good vs evil. Some emotional moments verge on melodramatic. But these are minor issues for an anime that accomplishes its intended goal so skillfully - to entertain and look superb while doing so. Rather than nitpick minor flaws in an otherwise beloved anime, I think it is better to acknowledge why so many people connects with Demon Slayer and the craftsmanship behind it. It deserves its popularity even if it may not appeal to all tastes. I hope this perspective provides a balanced take.

Lelouch is an exceptionally well-written protagonist - brilliant and ruthless, yet sympathetic in his motivations. The battles of wits and psychological games between him and his friend-turned-rival Suzaku are a highlight. But what truly makes Code Geass special is how it sticks the landing in delivering a shockingly cathartic ending that few could have predicted. The final episodes are an emotional rollercoaster that culminate in perhaps one of the most iconic scenes in anime history. It's bold storytelling choices like this that make Code Geass an easy 5 star anime. With its blend of mecha, political intrigue, strategy, and teen drama, Code Geass exerts a wide appeal while still maintaining philosophical depth. Director Goro Taniguchi deserves immense credit for successfully balancing all these elements into a coherent work of art. Everything just clicks together masterfully in this anime. Code Geass is the kind of anime you think about long after you've finished watching it.
