Very slow burn and very strange film with some amazing practical effects and imagery that unfortunately are only used briefly and sparingly near the end of the film. The English voice acting feels like a bad anime dub and there's definitely a low budget feeling throughout the film, though the atmosphere and setting of the titular church itself are another strong highlight. At another point in my life I would have probably enjoyed this film a lot more but it felt like a bit of a grind to watch.
