I hate this, why can't I give this less than one star. No children deserve to see this, its awful and I still have nightmares from when I first watched it as a child when it came out. If you want the story just read the book, please don't put your children through this movie. Its graphic, a character loses his arm, another basically eats the main character whole and theres more violence throughout the movie. Theres no message to be told and the main character learns nothing. The movie brings up topics of losing control of your emotions and learning how to deal with them but there isn't any real resolve to these problems. The main characters conflicts with other characters aren't solved and the rest of the movie is a mess. All I can say is that I really hate this movie and maybe your child or you will like this if you like horror or thriller movies.
