I am a huge fan of Jim Gaffigan, his stand up is clean and family friendly (and insanely funny) so when I saw this advertised on Prime it looked like an amazing movie and a can’t miss....But for me at least, it was a miss. First, I’m from Georgia and the accents (especially Jim’s) were all over the place and nowhere close to how we talk. I’m used to seeing movies that take place in the south and accents not hitting the mark but this Was just distracting and felt needless, it could have been a more genuine movie had the producers not felt it necessary to put weird accents on; It doesn’t help the story at all, it could have been Maine and it would have been fine. Most disappointing though was that the plot is just...Predictable and kind of lame. More effort should have been put on the humor than the terrible accents.
