This show is surprisingly really good. Watching the trailer I thought this was gonna be terrible but it was very interesting and exciting to watch because the show takes a more violent and adult twist on the actual teen titans. I grew up watching teen titans (2003) and the TTG show. So I liked this show and I'm waiting for season 3 but if you're a true fan, you will notice the little mistakes and errors they have made.
Robin(Dick Grayson) - Brenton Thwaites really nailed this role, I think his character was well developed and had very "robin-like" lines. He was and is my favorite character there was absolutely nothing wrong with his character, in my opinion.
Beastboy(Garfield Logan) - Ryan potter also really did well, his humor was presented brilliantly, and his lines were well thought out. However, in the cartoons, comics, shows, movies etc. His skin is green, in this show, it's not, only his hair is. Also I hope to see more development because right now he can only turn into a tiger.
Raven(Rachel Roth) - In my opinion, the actress is too young which makes her seem like a little girl compared to the rest of the titans. And her romance with Beastboy a little awkward (but that could also just be her character) But her costume design and powers really make it seem like she's raven. Although I would appreciate sarcasm from her like in the 2003 show, she did a really good job with facial expressions.
Starfire(Koriand'r) - I think even in the trailers and interviews, there was a lot of backlash on Anna Diop's Starfire, and I understand why. If you watch this show knowing at least a little background on starfire, you're going to be very disappointed. Where do I even start? I don't blame Anna Diop at all, I blame everybody that made her look, talk, and act that way. The costume was terrible, her lines made her more like Raven instead of starfire because she is super sarcastic and tough which is a great female character but that's not the starfire I grew up watching. I grew up watching, this innocent and naive tamaranian who didn't know a lot of earth culture but was still physically and emotionally strong and very brave. She was very kind and caring. This starfire is not really like that and her powers, are fire. Let me make this very clear, just because her name has "fire" in it, does not mean she has fire powers, she has starbolts and laser eyes. Not fire! Her skin is supposed to be orange, and I get that this is an adult show but I don't know why she does a lot of "physical stuff" because that seems so apart from her character. Anyways, like I said I don't blame Diop, I blame the directors, the makeup and costume crew, everybody involved to make her that way. Starfire's character in this show is a great character, it's just not starfire's character though. At least in my opinion. They could have had another character like that because this just isn't the starfire I grew up on.
