This is my new favorite movie. Kevin Costner’s voice is perfect for the doggie star. Endzo is such a beautiful character. I fell in love with his big fluffy hair and soft brown eyes. 😍. Bennie is such an inspiring husband and father. His unconventional career in racing and the challenges he faces seem to reflect, to me, the core challenge of our modern world in trying to live true to our individuality while also meeting the demands of providing for yourself and a family. Then there is a custody system that is sometimes weaponized by those who have means and influence. The grandpa is so deliciously detestable and he gets his just reward in the end. My favorite thing about Enzo is how unpredictable he is. He names the grandparents “the twins,” which is strangely perfect. He is so brilliantly insightful. I will be watching this one again!!
