I'll save you time: check out the final standings. There is no need to watch this show. They're racing from point A to B, with checkpoints in between. Nothing exciting ever happens. Most air time was on the American teams, even though they didn't place as well as other teams.
Huge focus on a select few teams- over 10 episodes, hearing the same stories over and over again makes you lose interest. There was ZERO mention of some teams- where is the respect for those folks that experienced such a grueling trek?
I couldn't take any scenes with Bear Grylls seriously- numerous "action shots" of him unnecessarily hanging out of the helicopter- what was the point of that? No one cares, Bear. Also, I wish I counted how many times he said something like "they look so small down there": OBVIOUSLY, Bear! You're in a helicopter- did you honestly expect them to look life sized while you're in the comfort of the helicopter?
The producers need to do a better job at pretty much every aspect of the show. Bear needs to go. More evenly split focus on other teams, not just the ones with a sad story, are American or have attractive team members.
