If war and living in occupied areas were really all this glamorous and fun, shouldn’t we do it all the time. Plenty of electricity for a huge lawn party, and it didn’t even alert Vichy or Germans to the occasion -WOW! It just whitewashes ( or, multi-colors) history too much . I so wanted it to be , if not great, at least very good; wishes do not make it so.
