...DeMille's masterpiece, redux; originally made in black and white in 1923 (silent) with Francis X Bushman and Roman Novarro, Academy ratio; 30+ years later, better film, cameras, wide-screen lenses, writing, sets, costumes, lighting, special effects, acting, etc., bring the first story of freedom, justice, and liberty to the screen on the Saturday one week before Easter on your local ABC station.
DeMille eventually paid for it with his life after health issues from making this film sent him home, and then eventually to the grave.
"The Prince of Egypt" is the spiritual successor to this magnificent film.
I hope that ABC gives up its broadcast rights to this film and lets this air on either TCM and/or Paramount+, where it belongs; overture, introduction by DeMille himself, intermission, entr'acte, and exit music intact.
BTW, Moses is the only historical figure named as a prophet in all three major Western theologies: the Tenach, the Holy Bible, and the Holy Koran.
