Ayaan Bazaz

I enjoyed it. Not up there with Ghibli’s best, not down there with Ghibli’s worst. Beautiful animation, solid english dub, many interesting character designs, wholesome moments, and genuinely funny at times. Don’t go into this movie expecting a coherent story. The story is pretty messy. And that ending was incredibly rushed. The main character, Mahito, also has very little personality to him. If you like Ghibli’s other movies, and keep your expectations lower, I think you’ll enjoy it. Edit: I’d be down to rewatch this movie in the future. I have a feeling it’ll grow on me.
