The Phantom Tollbooth is an outstanding novel. I first discovered it when my dad bought me the study pack for grade 7. I am still reading it and it gets more exciting as I move to other chapters each day. You can read and enjoy it thoroughly, but it is about something. When you see that it is, it adds a whole extra dimension to the story. It's about getting educated. It is about everyone's complete puzzlement over all the weird and useless things they make you learn at school. My favorite characters in this novel are Tock, the watchdog, and Mathemagician, who knows all about Maths. This novel made me laugh as well. All I want to say is that this novel is BEST, OUTSTANDING, INTERESTING, AMAZING, ADVENTUROUS (The adventures of Milo, an example of the fight with the demons of ignorance) and should be in every house across the whole world.
