I watched the film, I liked the film as the acting was great and huge respect goes to Irfaan Khan. Their were many flaws including the potray of British airports, Britishers, British Culture to Udaipur itself. There was even flaws in psychology. How can someone give up on a dream, they have lived their whole to life to fulfill just in a second? Being a teenager who had just rebelled against her dad? Tbh her dad was the reason why she couldn't get a chance in the University. Good sides tho the comedy was top notch and I loved all the acting done by the brilliant actors and actresses.

I really don't know why most of the one star reviews are written by men who talk about rights of women. If the man got that "thappad" everyone in society will crazily blame the wife for doing so. What he did was WRONG. Even after the slap he never apologizes to his wife. Always said what others will think of her and the family for leaving the house. Ammu did everything for him and gave up her f'king life for him and all she wanted was some respect and happiness that her husband forgot to it to her and solely focused on his job. If you are married you need attention, care, understanding, respect and the happiness that comes along with it. No one should have to compromise with their self respect just because of someone else.
