Nowhere in scripture are we encouraged to this . If I lifted one leg and prayed like a flamingo , I wouldn't write a book called Praying Flamingo . When we ask others to follow a character , and put so much emphasis on what the character sais , we are setting up our young people for error. The disciples who got saved in Luke 5 , followed their Lord for He is our example. After following and watching the things Jesus did after a night of prayer many times, they asked "Lord , teach us to pray " . There was no instruction to stand or sit or draw a circle . The teaching from our Lord was simply that because of His Father's Hallowed name , we bow our hearts I reverence.
