I saw Unplanned back on April 4, but it sticks with you. The movie is raw, real, riveting, and ultimately a hopeful movie with love and forgiveness. Not propaganda at all. The movie opens with the hard truth of exactly what abortion is and does, and then takes you through the story of how Abby Johnson went from a pro-choice supporter of Planned Parenthood to pro-life advocate.
In reality it paints both sides truthfully. The majority of pro-life people are peaceful and prayerful, but they discuss the angry minority which harrass women who have abortions, or one who goes so far as to murder an abortion doctor. They also show the women who choose abortion with empathy and compassion.
The movie is raw and real, one could see this story as true from the fall through the redemption.
The movie was riveting, I never looked at my watch once.
While the movie takes you to a dark place at first, it brings you back to end the film with hope, love, and forgiveness.
I highly recommend it for all audiences, particularly if you are pro-choice.
