I read this twice and its a memorable one. It depicts very well Japan in the 1980s (if im not wrong) and its characters are extraordinary. some may dislike it because its too negative or too blunt but personally i think its just murakami's style, he's a realist. definitely a good one and it always has something new when i read it again. just makes me feel like im in a different world once im engrossed in the book.
