Prison Playbook is not 'dark'; it's true to life. It's relatable, while not for the most of us, but for those whose lives we do not often pay attention to--the corrections officers and prisoners. It presents us with the realities of life and brings us into the world of inmates, letting us see through their wounded thoughts and pained actions.
The drama was brilliant; it was enthralling and heart-stopping, while humurous and heartwarming at the same time. It also has great acting and excellent direction. Highly-recommended!
Lessons learned:
- It also takes courage to give up.
- If you think your life is hard, remember that somebody may have had it harder.
- Do not do things you'll later regret.
- We can find family with strangers who turned into friends.
- Surviving sometimes means relying on someone else.
- Do not judge someone by merely what you see, read, or hear.
- Not everyone gets the ending they want for their lives.
- Hope is the most powerful motivator.
Happy watching!
