While critics are trashing the show and the fans are praising it, I think, it's somewhere in the middle. A lot of people came in expecting it to be a new game of thrones which it's not. While the world of game of thrones is realistic, this almost resembles a fairy tale. Also the plot is mainly focussed around a few characters unlike GOT that had a lot more of world building.I have read the last wish, blood of the elves and played the games so it was fairly easy for me to follow, but it could be a bit hard for newcomers. I think the show is a solid 6-7 for me. A definite recommend for fans of the fantasy genre and the Witcher games.
