Here’s my question James Cameron, How do you have 13 years to create a plot line and script yet it feels like you had a middle schooler write it in an hour ? Overall the cinematography was equal too the first that was made over a decade ago. The first Avatar plot unraveled seamlessly yet this sequel was 3 hours of a pure mess. First off the whole Kiris conception and attachment to Awah. Never explained yet it seemed to be a large part of the plot. The reason they left the forest made little sense. Whoever wrote the script needs to be executed immediately. I understand trying to follow modern trends but the use of “Cuz” and “Bro” was repetitive and did not match the films aesthetic what so ever. I’m pretty positive the older brothers character was made only to die. Also the action why did people just keep getting tied up. My only positive notes are the ending with the classic eye opening shot and the whales were cool but the conversations they had with the Navi had to be written by some out dated Microsoft word type AI. I have plenty more complaints but currently need to mourn the death of what could’ve been an incredible series. I think covid killed good cinema especially the most anticipated sequel of the decade. My final words on this film are it was the biggest disappointment since my parents divorce.
