Did not read the book. The movie was meh,, Pacing was very slow in the beginning but then quickly sped up which to me is an issue in many ways. Gives us no time for any character development at all and just seems to rush itself in the later 2nd half.
Hard to even give a review because it is lacking depth and does not feel complete.
Maybe project should have been a limited 2/3 TV series. IDK
