All emotional scenes are unearned. They bring out the string music and sad faces but none of it registers authentically.
You’re supposed to gawk in awe at the atmospherics. But it’s much like when you’re at an art museum and happen upon a piece of pretentious modern art that fails to display any meaning. Sun glares and smokey forests are great backdrops, but they’re used as a main character in this movie. Too much value was demanded by the landscape.
A cheap Superman knockoff.
Villians are 1-dimensional and CG chaos.
The philosophy was cliche. They actually said “the truth will set them free” and other such worn out one liners like that. It was astonishingly unsophisticated.
The plot was more cobbled than seamless.
The humor would of worked if it were set within an actual marvel movie.. But this was Marvel in name only.
Music was cookie cutter orchestra music. Nothing unique. Not one thing.
And a more boring story could not be told.
I felt bad for the cast because they did all they could do for the movie and the movie betrayed them.
