The only explanation for any good review of this movie is that Warner Brothers pays really well for good reviews. Director James Wan doesn’t even try. I love comic books, and they’ve done some great stuff with Aquaman in the last few generations of the comic. While it was never my favorite character, I enjoyed many of the story lines. However, other than Jason Mamoa looking cool and Amber Heard looking great as Mera, I can’t find a redeeming quality anywhere in the movie. The visuals were good, but ruined by the unbridled cheese of every other part of the movie. And my goodness is the soundtrack bad.
At the end, I check the poster to see if it was a Lifetime or Hallmark movie. Yikes.
