Have had a long dreary spell of a new read that strikes all my buttons. In S.A.'s newest, he had me hook, line & sinker. This author has the magic combo to grab hold of you by the lapels and keep you righteously suspended till the final line. This book is one of the rarities I must give a second read. Oh god, it was such a magnificent relief to my psych.

Actually, I'd like to know how I could give Penner negative stars. If she paid an editor, that person should seriously consider other options to make a living. Cannot even begin to describe my reasons for 1 star, as there couldn't be enough room. I hope my comment here gives just one potential reader serious thought after reading the sample. Also read the other reviewers' takes. Avoid hurting yourself with this indescribably horrific attempt at writing, please.

I was a lucky child of the 60s. What I saw in "Once Upon a Time..." (or the 30 mins of the nearly 3 hr piece of junk) represented....what? Nothing that looked familiar to me, except some great music. A couple current popular dudes a movie does not make.
Still cant figure out the point. And throughout it, a female voice actually gives a verbal narration of what you're watching on screen. What? When I read some reviews, there was a lot of talk about who starred in it. Ok, so....?
The greatest waste of time I've had in a very long time in trying to watch what was supposed to be a highly rated flick. Glad we only rented it on TV & then didn't have to pay a dime cuz we watched it for such as short time.
