This is brilliant! It's everything I was hoping to see in a zombie story but could never seem to find. There is very little dialogue or music, bringing in a beautiful tension (See the original version of Let the Right One In. Less can be more.) The zombies are fast. The second someone dies, they turn and start the chase (which sometimes means going through walls like wrecking balls). If you kill a bandit, shoot it in the head or it's coming after you again in a matter of seconds. There are no long, sad goodbyes. It's pure survival. Season 1 is like being in a RPG. It's a warzone. The camera work is tight. There are no wide shots. The second season works more to develop characters, but don't get attached. Nobody is safe because they're a lead cast member. We're not rebuilding sicher. We're surviving. This isn't TWD and thank goodness.
