This is not a game for casual "fans" of skateboarding or skateboarding video games. It's a game for skateboarders (or ex-skateboarders) who understand that skateboarding is not about scoring points or doing missions or any of that. It's about the joy of just sessioning a spot for hours, seeing what you can create - no rules but what you set for yourself. If you liked Skate 3 because of the story(!) then you won't like this. If you liked it because it was a fairly realistic representation of skateboarding then you will love Skater XL. If you're expecting Tony Hawk then wait for the Tony Hawk remake. There are 5 great maps, the control system is great, endless customisation of your clothing and board. Apparently the game is being constantly updated as well. 10/10 would recommend
