If you have to explain that you need an open mind to enjoy something and that’s the focal point of your reasoning then there is something wrong. This show is not halo in the slightest. It’s creative only so far as they just took names from Halo and vague ideas that really any tv show could have and then created something entirely different from the source material, but still called it Halo. If you actually stop and think about each episode and why things are happening, it makes no sense. Their portrayal of military tactics is horrible (which is hilarious seeing as humans are vastly outnumbered and technologically inferior to the Covenant, so super clever tactics are really important for them). They suggest that slave children are regularly killed, and have a very strange romantic scene with kids that is honestly making me wonder if we need to investigate the person that said “Yes! Let’s do that!” I understand they need to world build some more, but the first 5 or so minutes of cinematic from the first Halo game tells you more and makes you feel more than the 3 hours of storytelling in this series has. For non fans I’m sure it’s honestly pretty interesting as far as sci-fi goes but you could be getting soooo much more if it wasn’t THIS.
