Outstanding movie. I saw it a week ago, and find myself thinking about the issues raised in the movie a week later. The movie isn't subtle, but it isn't intended to be. As C.S. Lewis's demon "Screwtape" wrote regarding seducing people towards Hell: “Keep everything hazy in his mind now, and you will have all eternity wherein to amuse yourself by producing in him the peculiar kind of clarity which Hell affords.” The writers and actors aren't subtle because their message is intended to blast through the haze in the popular mind regarding the devil and evil. In this they succeed.
