Seeing all the positive reviews for this movie makes me think society has reached the point where we're like the characters in the movie Idiocracy, where a show like "Ouch my balls" would gain the top spot. I waited 4 months to see this movie, and had high expectations based on the trailers and reviews. It wasn't just bad, it was awful. One would think a movie called Civil War would at some point explain what caused it, who was against who, and what their goal was. This movie gave none of that. What you got was a slow meandering story of some journalists with a violent shock value scene every 10 minutes or so. There's more musical cuts in this movie than meaningful dialogue. My overall takeaway from this movie is that if we were to have another civil war in this country it would be as poorly planned and directed as this, just killing each other with no purpose or goal, and no plan for what happens afterwards.
