I agree with the comments I am reading here, especially about Charles Melton's superb performance. Julianne Moore is brilliant as always and Natalie Portman, not usually one of my favorites (I know--I am a crowd of one) is really good too.
What I find outrageous--and it may seem like a detail to most--is the total plagiarism that is the music track. It is a 100% ripoff from the 1971 British film "The Go Between" with Julie Christie, Alan Bates, and Michael Redgrave. I adored The Go Between and saw it seven times the year it came out (I was 16 lol and there was no other way to see a movie than to go to the theater) and I know the track note for note and played it by ear on the piano myself. This makes me so angry that I want to contact the producers. Ugh.
