I have been a fan of Scooby and the gang since childhood, That being said, I've only watched Where Are You and What's New and a good handful of the films. I think Velma is the perfect redirection for this franchise and generation. It brings up many topics of discussion that usually go ignored and the fact that Velma is witty with the comebacks is so refreshing! No longer will Velma, Daphne and even Shaggy aka Norbert, be ridiculous side characters.. they have complex personalities and backstories! I think people dislike this show because of the current issues, and some have problems with change... but change is life. I look forward to whatever these directors do next!
