I’m already on episode 7 yet still waiting to be hooked or blown away. I don’t get the hype. It’s boring and pretentious. The characters are largely unrelatable, even for an Asian like me. +1 star for the gem that is steven yeun, .5 for his cousin. Yep, that’s about it.

Nice story, but it’s hard for me to get past FL being a terrible miscast. I don’t want to be mean, BUT based on the story, FL’’s supposed to be a “young mom” in her late 20s-early thirties (at most). But she is clearly in her 50s. Half the time, she looks like ML’s fussy old auntie. She looks much older than the rest of the middle-aged moms. Even her hairstyle and clothes look unkempt and outdated. They should’ve gotten a younger actress OR adjusted the script instead. As a veteran actress, she should’ve voice this out, too. Sorry, crash course. :(

Warning: spoiler alert Good to watch if you have nothing to do and zero expectations of this movie. The opening scene was really good, and Gal Gadot is, as always so mesmerising onscreen. Just don’t mind the bad acting (i see you, keya), cliches here and there and comical plot holes. My “favourite” cringey part was when they were running out of oxygen and relied only on stone to save them. Like, really? Them geniuses built this massive information system that could control the world, yet they didn’t bother to make plan B? The landline was working, couldn’t they just have picked up the phone and call 911? Call their relatives etc. Haha.
