To all the haters of this movie.. you clearly have not understood the movie. I see so many reviews about how much they hate horror movies and yet ended up watching this movie!! Hello.. if you dont like the genre why would you even watch the whole movie. It doesn’t make sense. Its simple if you dont like scary movies then don’t watch! Now, talking about the movie, this movie is outright scary on such a psychological level that I cannot explain. I literally did not sleep for days after watching it. I would compare the scary level to the korean movie The Wailing. And I am a big fan of horror films. I must have watched all kinds the gory ones, the psychological ones and those serial killer ones, but this movie just completely blows you off. It has all the gore, all the unexpected twists and it really gets in your head and you sort of wonder how scary things can turn out to be. Everyone calling this move stupid, its not stupid..as if what’s happening in the real world any less stupid. From acting to the cinematography, its top notch. I feel this movie is about the guilt that everyone carries for being less of a mother, a brother or a father.. it’s the guilt that makes them go completely crazy and drives them into terrifying hallucinations that at the end turns out to finding solace in a cult. Honestly, its the ending scene that completely knocks me off. I must say Ari Aster is a big bonker who made this movie absolutely terrifying on a mental level. Watch this movie only if you want to have sleepless nights for a week..

I really have no idea what the film was trying to portray.. I love watching this genre and I have watched the scariest films but this movie is nowhere scary. Firstly, the scene where they show the sea marsh and the abandoned island, its taken from Daniel Radcliffe’s movie The Black Widow and this movie was terrifying! Couldn’t they be a bit original.. even the black attire ghost lady was not scary at all. All these people giving it 5 stars .. they probably have not understood the horror genre. This is not horror guys! Its boring from the start.. I couldnt go past 30 minutes… painfully boring!! There are much scarier films in India.. like Tumbbad, Ghost Stories, Bhootkalam.. nope this one is not scary.. super tacky!! I dont even want to give it 1 star.. its a big ZERO for me.
