I liked this book. Although the Land family faces many challenges, they remain strong in different ways. It is written from the point of view of 11 year old Reuben. The family members have to face consequences for their actions and decisions and I felt a part of the moral struggles each of them faced. I found this book to be interesting, emotional, and informative. Hopefully, readers will be more aware of the problems of.single moms an possibly, how to help the situation. She’s a good writer, too!!
