Unlike the original, the new 2023 version of The Little Mermaid was colorful and rich! The original little mermaid pales in comparison to this updated version. Halle absolutely slays and since there is a lot of space between her eyes, she naturally looks like a fish, so I don't understand why she did not get the part of flounder🤣😂🤣😂. Jk I love Ariel. Her singing was 👍🏾😃 but I think ursala was way too evil for me and my son. I also appreciate that Ariel was able to eventually get her identity back after she had been placed under a spell and had her identity and voice stolen. This probably went under the radar for most people but it was very authentic and timely. Also have you guys noticed that all the 1 star reviews say that they don't care about Ariel's race changing but then they go on to write a whole paragraph about it?????!?!?!?!?!?!!

It's like watching the key figures of the Civil Rights movement embedded deep within an episode of Power. Thrilling yet thought-provoking. I never imagined I could, in one moment, be embroiled in an action-packed thriller and then, in the very next moment, be smoothly transitioned into a deeply moving Malcolm X speech... simply stunning direction and masterful writing! ... and to the people complaining about the historical accuracy of this film, go binge watch a Wikipedia page 🖕
