This an outstanding book in many ways. The topic is fascinating and timely, it's very well-written and well-documented and Farmer transports the reader to faraway forests and across time. Trees, as we lose them, are becoming an ever more popular topic. This book takes one on a journey that shows human perspectives on trees and forests all over the world and how that relationship must evolve for the good of trees, for biodiversity, and for us.
