I happily tuned in to watch when I discovered it was a Disney. I was very disappointed. Don't know who the target audience were supposed to be, but Disney apparently thought it'd be comprised of ignoramuses and idiots. Earth-bound (pre)adolescents today know more about technology, now, than the doofs portrayed in the movie who have supposedly been born into and surrounded by it. Disney doubled-down in making a hackneyed clichéd movie. It's miserably contrived; and an example of how to waste money in making a bad movie. It's hard to watch, but I just watched it again, to be fair, before writing this review (without examples from the movie). [The site won't allow a "no star" rating.]

The movie is close to committing what’s perhaps the worst crime that a movie can: It’s so dull that it skirts being boring.

Surprised this movie ever got made. It’s very lame story telling. What it doesn’t make immediately known to the viewer is that it’s relying on cultural givens. Most folks know the details of the King novel and/or the previous movie, so why bother telling those details. That said you could argue that the movie is even lamer than first thought. And, the ending is absurd! Is this DADA?

The main character obviously has psychological problems; and the repugnance that he feels in response to “himself” committing violence when he allows his other identity to control his body is commendable; but his continual denial of what lies before him and what others are telling him is bothersome. Perhaps he considers it, ALL, an hallucinogenic psychotic break. I’ve not read the comics; so I don’t have them as a further basis for my criticism. But the “suspension of disbelief” which the tv series is asking of me[us] is beyond my[our] sensibilities. I hear that this is Isaac’s(no complaints about his acting!) last contractual obligation to the MCU . . .
