I think that this show is absolutely brilliant! I came across episode 1 on Foxtel by complete accident when it first aired and it made me extremely upset that there was only 1 episode.
This miniseries is not only telling a story about a past event which is so incredibly important but it's also acknowledging so many who have given up their lives for all of us to be here today and free from radiation poisoning.
My mum was 12, living in Kiev when this happened in 1986 and I was born in Kiev in 1994 because of all those people to whom I am greatly thankful for.
I also very much agree with some of the comments about the native language not being a part of the series. I think it makes it seem a little less realistic in a way, however, I understand English better than I do Russian or Ukrainian so I'm kind of happy... in a way.
Can't wait till episode 4 and to show this to my mum.
