To keep it simple it hand waves a lot of the key parts of the plot and it makes it difficult to make sense of the movie. DC comics usually try to keep the fantasy stuff simple enough and not too crazy. This was not that. The writing is lazy and certain key scenes show it. Not what I was expecting personally. It's a okay film to watch but you will be bored for 80% of it.

Where to begin with this anime? I'm a big fan of the Zoids franchise and I loved the first generation and it's the best in my opinion. This new generation of a show is just garbage. The character design is very amateurish. The plot is overly simplified and shouldn't take 50 episodes to tell. The voice acting is good for English, but the characters behind them are so annoying and make no sense most of the time. Arashi is by far the worst character in anime. The only great part of the show is the Zoids are explained from their animal counterparts, how the world interacts with them, and the zoology of it all. The animation is great, but the repetitive and unnecessary blast animations are just annoying to go through every time and it each shows the glaring character design which as I said earlier is garbage. The artist for the characters needs to be fired. The animation of the Zoids is carrying the show, not the characters. The next entry into Zoids needs to be serious and actually have meaningful character design that makes. I understand the audience is geared towards kids, but this show is more for babies at the age of 3 or 4. Not 10. I'm very disappointed in this franchise right now. Do better.
