Jacinta Marie

The series is simple minded and stupid. The lead is dull and constantly wears a baby blue which goes with how dull she is despite how gaudy the decor and dress can get throughout the rest of the show. I can appreciate some of the dresses, but it gets ridiculous. The whole show is bunk decorum and is a bunk Jane Austin/ Vanity Fair adaptation wannabe. The climax is a romanticized duel, and the love affairs feel forced and meaningless. The show tried. It failed. It lacks intelligence. I give it three stars for the amount of beautiful tailoring and set design it must have taken to create. That is all.
