The trailers of this movie doesn't do it justice. I recommend to see this, at least once, if you're like me who enjoys sci-fi flicks. This new installment of one of the best sci-fi movie franchises does not disappoint. It was so refreshing to see a young adult cast that aren't yet big Hollywood stars just there to make money off of their names, or just to stand there to look pretty. They did a great job with their given roles. Although I think some of their interactions could have been written better, such as the frustration and distrust between the young man with and the prime directives of the synthetics. If you've seen prior Alien movies, the story is somewhat predictable, but if you haven't and it's new to you, you'll be entertained an maybe become a fan of this new generation of sci-fi horror. The main character Rain, definitely gives Ripley vibes, even though she has her own personality. The character Andy is really something special, kinda hope for another installment and we get to see more of him and his capabilities, and I think the actor who plays him did excellent to make him believable. The other female character who goes though the most terror with the creatures, when she has to face them and the twist near the end, that actress did a great job with those scenes. This movie, just like the others, asks the still relevant questions of what is humanity, vs self awareness of a machine, facing mortality, and what does one do or how do they behave when facing survival against the horror of the unknown? Of course it has the traditional weirdness and campiness, love it or hate it. It does have subtle hints from prior movies tied in. Hopefully others will agree that this one is on par with Alien 1 & 2, and maybe we'll get to see another installment of Rain & Andy against the Xenomorphs or the other variations of them.
