You can't help but wish Cate Blanchett hadn't mysteriously left the project, you also can't help but wonder why we were never given an explanation for it. Nicole doesn't transform into Lucille until about the last quarter of the movie. Honestly it's like watching someone try to force a puzzle piece to fit where it just doesn't fit. Nicole and Javier are both wonderful actors but Lucy and Ricky they just are not. Why did this project move forward without Cate? We may never know.
