I have watched and appreciated some of Wes Andersons' previous films. Enjoying the quirky dialogue and the vivid visuals as they told a story.
Not this one.
After an hour and 45 minutes I'm not sure this told an actual story of any sort at all. Just a series of events that happen to a lifeless group of people in sort of linear fashion. Quirkiness gives way to calculated, uncomfortable weirdness. With no sort of buildup, tension or climax. It just kind of thankfully ends.
