It's quite sad to see all these diehard Ellen fans in these reviews. The show is mediocre at best, and painful to watch at worst. The biggest problem is that nowadays, Ellen never seems to be fully invested with any of the people that appear on her show. With a few exceptions, she acts uninterested towards the guests, only adding in the occasional generic comment, sometimes even rudely interrupting or rushing them. It's not a good sign when the guests are more entertaining than the titular person of the show. She also seems to be borderline sadistic towards both her guests and audience, putting them in embarrassing situations/activities which she herself does not partake in (Her side show Game Of Games is further proof of this). These segments can be hard to watch at times. And of course, the recent allegations made against her about workplace harassment seals the deal. Yet her loyal fanbase remains blind to all this...
