This movie may not be pleasing or interesting to anyone else but in my opinion, I give this movie an 8.5/10. This film is a sequel to the original twister movie (1996). The action is intense with high stake storm chases and dramatic encounters with tornados and the chasers encounter more and more extreme weather conditions. Although I don’t listen to country music, I absolutely loved the director’s music choice! My friend Talisa absolutely loves the song “Out of Oklahoma” By Lainey Wilson. In my opinion the visuals were amazing! I loved the realistic portrayal of the tornados and storm chasing. The visual style colors enhanced the mood of the film. For example, them using dark and stormy colors to create the scene and using the dramatic camera work to convey the chaos of each scene. SPOILERS: When Tyler, Kate and Javi went to the small town to save all the people and took them into the movie theater for protection the walls around the movie theater began to come apart due to the strong impact from the tornado and everyone was holding on to the bottom of the chairs in the theater I felt as if I was in the middle of the chaos. The sound of the wind and the people legs flying in the air trying to hold on to the chair and not get blown into the tornado. SPOILERS: The storyline of this movie is very interesting. A group of five storm chasers Kate, Jeb, Praveen, Javi and Addy are trying to find out more information on how the storm starts. And use these yellow barrels with dust like solution in it that they attempted to use to slow the twister down, Kate the main character has the ability to tell where the twister is going to be, but her assumption was wrong, and something went wrong with the attempted and three out of five of the group members lost their life to the twister. Which left Kate and Javi. Years later Kate stopped storms chasing but Javi believed that Kate’s ability to tell where the storm was going to would be useful. So, Javi convinced Kate to help him chase storms. But they ran into other chasers that had the same plans and were ready to beat them to a storm. My favorite part of the movie is their interaction with the other storm chasers because it’s just complete comedy. The head group member of the other storm chaser group Tyler Owens and Kate were like two siblings going at each other the whole movie. I also like how the director decided to get rid of the romantic moment between Tyler and Kate. Another part in the movie that I loved the most it how both storm chasing groups decided to stop bumping heads with each other and intended to help the small towns around Oklahoma get to safety. I would say my favorite charter is obviously Kate. She is always determined to figure have a better understanding and predicting twisters, often putting herself at risk to gather data or save lives. I would also say she is very stubborn. But in a good way lol. She is the type to be unwilling to back down from action, stay up all night analyzing storm patterns or pushing the boundaries of the technology she uses. I love how throughout the film Kate and Javi had some personal growth. Like the value of collaboration and trust. I’ve seen a few reviews talking about the original Twister movie (1996) and I might consider watching that to see how similar both movies are.
